Biography

Nicholas Whitley serves as Vice President of Business Development at H2O America, where he leads the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Nick brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure investing across the utility, energy, and industrial sectors.

Before joining H2O America, Nick was Managing Director of Business Development at NW Natural Holdings, where he set strategic priorities for inorganic growth across water, wastewater, and natural gas businesses. During his tenure, Nick led and executed more than 30 acquisitions, helping to diversify and expand the company’s operations across multiple states. Prior to NW Natural Holdings, Nick held senior business development and M&A leadership roles at GE Oil & Gas and Wellbore Integrity Solutions. He began his career in investment banking with Houlihan Lokey in New York and Lehman Brothers in London.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in finance, and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School.
